Responsibilities:
You will do a lot of writing – somewhere in the ballpark of 4-10 articles a week, with your name on the shiny byline. You will be sourcing and writing everything from investigative stories, to product profiles and all the way to researched position pieces and thought leadership. You will also be helping out with the editorial process – assisting in the pitch process, the publishing calendar, and of course the actual editing of submissions.
CONTRIBUTOR
We’re looking to take on a few additional freelance contributors to provide 1 – 2 articles per week covering the areas of:
- Software & Software Technology
- Science & Science Technology
- Hardware & Hardware Technology
- Innovation & Technology Advancement
- Startup Business & Startup Business Culture
- Entrepreneurialism & Entrepreneurial Culture
Depending on individual preferences, talents and experience, we are looking for writers to provide startup company profiles, product roundups, coverage of breaking stories, interviews and original stories, thought pieces and general advice (assuming you have the expertise). If you look at our website, you will see that we publish all kinds of pieces, as long as they are timely, informative, engaging and entertaining.
Pieces are generally between 400 and 1,000 words and writers will be largely responsible for pitching our Editor in Chief, so it is important that you are on top of current trends and stories in the technology, startup and business spaces.
Please be prepared to share at least 2 examples of published work in the areas outlined above.
